Château de Flaugergues, an estate in Montpellier and the La Méjanelle terroir, is proud to see two of its vintages recognised in the 2026 Hachette Wine Guide. These distinctions confirm the quality and care that goes into each wine.

Folia 2022, Grés de Montpellier – 2 stars

Appellation: Languedoc – Colour: red, still – Name: Grés de Montpellier Folia – Vintage: 2022

Guide’s comment:
‘On the nose, a generous bowl of black fruits sprinkled with zan, pepper and menthol. The palate confirms this deliciousness with ample, enveloping flesh, stitched together with tight, crunchy tannins. The fresh, mentholated and peppery finish perfectly energises the whole. A concentrated elegance that will benefit from a short stay in the cellar.’

This cuvée offers a structured and indulgent red wine, both generous and elegant, which perfectly represents the character of the Languedoc wines from Château de Flaugergues.

Cuvée Colbert 2022, La Méjanelle – 1 star

Appellation: Languedoc – Colour: red, still – Name: La Méjanelle Cuvée Colbert – Vintage: 2022

Guide’s comment:
“This small appellation in Languedoc, nestled in the Montpellier metropolitan area to the east of the city, finds a fine expression in this robust cuvée, which draws floral, fruity and vegetal notes (liquorice, bay leaf) from the Syrah grape. Still maturing in 18-month-old barrels, the palate is concentrated and dense, firmly grounded on tight tannins. We can wait patiently.”

This vintage showcases Languedoc Syrah with finesse and depth, demonstrating that Château de Flaugergues wines can combine power and elegance.

These two distinctions highlight the expertise of Château de Flaugergues and the ability of its red wines to fully express the terroir of the Languedoc region.
