Event description

Created in 2017, the Chœur de chambre Êkhô is a professional vocal ensemble under the direction of Caroline Semont-Gaulon.

The choir’s vocation is to bring strong musical emotions to a wide range of audiences, through the beauty of its voices and repertoire, as reflected in its name: Êkhô, Greek for “to make resound, to make resonate”.

“Voix de Femmes” is the latest program creation by Ekhô Chamber Choir, with a poetic, dreamlike repertoire accompanied by the magic of the harp.

The workforce is all-female. In addition, the repertoire features the figure of the Virgin, mermaids and women in love, and is built around several female composers such as Lina Alexandersson (Sweden), Cécile Chaminade and Mel Bonis (France), and Kaija Saariaho (Finland). A large part of the program is made up of women.

Join us for a concert celebrating women in music!
