Visits to the Chateau de Flaugergues are organised with pleasure
in mind and take you on a journey through beauty and nature in all
their different forms.
Brigitte and Henri de Colbert have won several national prizes for
their restoration work and the quality of welcome offered to visitors,
such as the Prix Régional Iris
1990 and the Prix National 1992.
 A variety of Activities:
- Inside the Chateau, the home of
Brigitte and Henri de Colbert and their children: Flemish tapestries,
paintings, libraries, furniture from the XVIII century, archives,
etc...
- Outside: French gardens, English-style
park, pathways of olive trees; forming in total five hectares,
the gardens provide an excellent example of space management and
offer a wide variety of plants from many countries.
- Cellars, where the wine is made
and matures.
- Vineyards.
- Wine-tasting.
Organisation of Visits:
- Inside visits are always accompanied; however visits to the
gardens can be unaccompanied.
- The average length of visits is 1h30
minutes, but this can be changed according to your needs.
- The capacity for a visit is limited to a maximum of 100
people at the any one time.
- A small detour to the 'Caveau' allows you to buy the
Wines of Flaugergues as well as other regional products
- Brigitte and Henri de Colbert are greatly interested in the
quality of the welcome you receive and in your well-being
whilst you are at Flaugergues. They will therefore ensure that
you are comfortably seated to listen to the general introduction
to Flaugergues and its history.
- For the disabled a route is partially
in place, especially for outside visits.
