Visits

The visits of the Chateau de Flaugergues take place along a pleasurable path through a beautiful and varied environment. Brigitte and Henri de Colbert have been awarded several national prizes for their work in catering as well as prizes for their quality of reception: Regional Iris Prize of 1990 and National Prizes of 1992 and 1993 for catering, Picket Prize for gardening in 2003. The site has been granted the REMARKABLE GARDEN classification by the Department of Culture.

Organisation

Visits:

plan du chateau

Henri and Brigitte de Colbert still lives in the chateau with their children. They will let you discover their 18th century furniture for your enjoyment. You will also find: tapestry from Brussels, paintings, magnificent porcelain, libraries, archives … The French-style gardens, the English-style park, and the olive paths, will reveal their secrets hidden within the 5 hectares. They are a model of space layout and contain a vast variety of plants from many countries. You can also see the vineyard during the tour.
A stop by the cave to taste the wines of the vineyard is, of course, also included in the visit.

How the visits are organized:

Indoor visits are always accompanied, the outdoors can be visited on your own or accompanied.
Visits take about one and a half hours on average. This duration can be modified according to your wishes.
The number of people that can participate in one visit is limited to roughly 100.
A small detour to the cave allows you to taste the wines of Flaugergues as well as the other local products.
The reception and your wellbeing are of Henri and Brigitte de Colbert outmost concerns: you will be comfortably seated while listening to the general presentation and the history of Flaugergues.
The visit has been, in part, organized for disabled people, this concerns in particular the outdoor visit.
